MILAGRO CENTER TEEN LEADERSHIP STUDENTS SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE EMERGENCY RESPONSE TRAINING
DELRAY BEACH, FL – The Milagro Center is proud to announce the successful participation of its Teen Leadership students in the nationally recognized Teen Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training.
This 24-hour program, designed for teens aged 13-17, equips participants with critical life-saving skills, including fire safety, basic first aid, and teamwork. The program was conducted over four Saturdays at Palm Beach State College, ensuring students gained the confidence and knowledge necessary to protect themselves, their families, and their community.
The Milagro Teen CERT Initiative, which is made possible by the generous support of the 4Girls Foundation and AshBritt, goes beyond training by offering monthly guest speakers, field trips, and incentives such as free lunches and snacks. As part of this effort, students visited the Palm Beach County Emergency Operations Center, met with Emergency Management Specialist Khrisann Morrison, and received words of encouragement from Milagro alumni Marjorie ahead of their final exam.
On May 22, five Milagro Center students completed their training, with three successfully passing their final exam. This milestone reflects the commitment and hard work of both the
students and program facilitators, including Ms. Melissa, Ms. Jeaneen, and Ms. Dawn, who provided motivation and support.
