Milagro Center Programs

S.T.A.R.S.

K-5TH GRADE

At Milagro’s S.T.A.R.S. Program — Standing Together Achieving Recognition and Success — we serve over 50 elementary students each year with personalized attention and academic support. With small class sizes, credentialed teachers, individual tutoring in literacy and math, STEM instruction, social emotional learning, arts integration and musical instrument instruction, and dedicated adult mentors, this Department of Children and Families Gold Seal-accredited program builds confidence and a solid academic foundation. Enrichment partners bring swimming, health and nutrition, opera, ballet, and more, creating a vibrant, nurturing space for early success and an easy transition to Middle School and our Junior Teen Leadership Program.

Junior & Teen Leadership

Guiding the Journey from Middle School to Graduation

Our Junior Teen Leadership Program offers middle school students attending neighboring schools the academic support, mentoring, and emotional development they need during a critical life phase as they prepare for high school and the transition to our Teen Leadership Program, and beyond — all in a safe, welcoming Center built just for them.

For high schoolers, the Teen Leadership Program provides academic tutoring in key subject areas, SAT/ACT prep, creative expression, career and college readiness, and college tours. Here, teens gain resilience, skills, knowledge, and confidence to break the cycle of poverty, shape their futures, and pursue success beyond high school.

Mentoring Miracles Program

Milagro Center’s Mentoring Miracles Program provides one-on-one on-site mentoring to its S.T.A.R.S. and Jr. Teen Leadership Program students, These important adult volunteers act as positive role models which enhance all aspects of an underserved youth’s academic and social development. Extending Impact

The Miracle Doesn’t End at Graduation

MCAA

Milagro Center Alumni Association

Through the Milagro Center Alumni Association (MCAA), support of our Milagro graduates continues long after high school. From college and trade school guidance to job placement, life skills, and networking, alumni stay connected — and give back. Many return as mentors — and members of our professional staff — inspiring the next generation with their stories of resilience and success.

Rising Stars Scholarship Fund

Statistics show only 27.4% of first-generation students graduate within four years, often due to limited financial resources and inadequate academic preparation.

That’s why Milagro Center launched its Rising Stars Scholarship Fund to help us make sure each one of our students can pursue a post-high school education, and those past Milagro graduates who are in college continue to receive support.

Donations to our Rising Stars Scholarship fund are dedicated to our annual scholarship awards granted to Milagro graduating seniors and past graduates who are navigating their way through college. These scholarship awards support tuition, textbooks, transportation, and other essentials that make college success possible. Every gift goes towards bringing a student closer to their degree and a productive future.

Your support can help make the career dreams of our deserving students come to life.
