MILAGRO CENTER CELEBRATES THE GRAND RE-OPENING OF ITS COMMUNITY ART GARDEN 2.0 WITH RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY

DELRAY BEACH, FL – On Wednesday, June 5th, the Milagro Center welcomed 50 enthusiastic guests for the official ribbon cutting and grand re-opening of its newly revitalized Community Art Garden 2.0. The event, held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., was a vibrant celebration of community, creativity, and collaboration in the heart of Delray Beach’s “The Set” neighborhood.

Milagro Center’s President and CEO, Barbara Stark, led the festivities and officially cut the ribbon on the transformed outdoor art space that now features new murals, ground pavers, and donor bricks, made possible through the generous support and hands-on efforts of DPR Construction. A special presentation was made during the event to DPR in recognition of their vital role in bringing the Art Garden 2.0 to life.

Guests enjoyed light bites and refreshments while being serenaded by two musical acts: Milagro’s very own Teen Band and acclaimed classical guitar virtuoso Robert Secrist, whose moving performance added an elegant touch to the evening.

Corporate sponsors and community members mingled and explored the art-filled space,

which is located between the organization’s Junior Teen Center and Teen Center and now includes:

· Wall-to-wall murals designed and painted by Milagro’s high school students under the mentorship of Teen Art Specialist Mr. Mono, depicting a journey from growth to limitless possibility,

· Colorful art easels showcasing paintings by Milagro’s youth,

· A hands-on art booth by the Norton Museum of Art, allowing attendees to create their own mini-masterpieces.

Originally funded in 2019 through a Community Revitalization Grant from the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties, the Milagro Center’s Community Art Garden was reimagined in 2024 with the goal of offering a shared cultural space for the entire community. “This project is more than an art installation—it’s a movement,” said Stark. “It’s about revitalizing our neighborhood, giving local youth and artists a voice, and creating a lasting legacy of creativity and pride.”

As part of the next phase of community involvement, donation bricks will soon be available for purchase. Individuals and businesses can sponsor personalized bricks—engraved with names or logos—that will be permanently installed along the garden’s brick path. All proceeds will support Milagro Center’s arts and educational programming.
